User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat food. Service was a bit lacking and host/hostesses were snooty.
Many open tables but insisted that all were reserved except the one next to the bussing area. Made a stink and had to wait for a decent table. Several of the "reserved" tables sat vacant all night. Suggest you make a reservation in the name of Spielberg or Schwartzenegger and see if you get a better table. No excuse for that sort of snotty behavior.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe drive from Orange County to eat Sushi only here: Katana has the best sushi! Its fresh and so tasty. The sushi chefs are skilled and take pride in their profession. The fish is cut perfectly. Ever been to a sushi restaurant and the fish is too thick? Well never to worry here. Our favorite spot is at the sushi bar. We let our sushi chef create us "specials". From the Robata... the kobe beef, foie gras is to die for.
Outstanding service, genuiness and all the while you are so comfortable. I highly recommend Katana. Once you have Katana all other places pale in comparision!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsRobata and Sushi Bar: The robata and sushi bar always bustling and the best are on the patio overlooking the Sunset strip...and the food? Get the Robata...its in small portions...like i call it Japanese tapa's=) My all time faves are Sunagimo(chicken gizzard),Tanuki(Shiitake mushrooms stuffed w/minced chiken) Tebasaki(chicken wings) and Lamb chops...yumyum..the best! It reminds me of Filipino way of grilling..so tasty! Luv their appletini and Orion beer...best combo! Staff are friendly and fast service. I'll never get bored with this place.

OMG! We thought we were the only ones who experienced what you went through! SNOTTY hostess and I mean in an enviously NASTY way!. We got the same table as you! Hahahaha. That job is all those Ho Tesses Will ever become. Being ugly is short lived! We complained and got excellent service from the manager though. Sucks to have to do that for great service.
