About:Still commonly known as the "Rainbow Room," this fabled Sunset Strip institution continues to deliver a raunchy good time with live rock shows, late-night dining and diverse people-watching. The roomy interior consists of a dining room, several bars, upstairs dance floor and patio decorated with kitschy rock 'n' roll memorabilia, Christmas lights, burgundy leather booths and even a vintage arcade game. The food offered is an Italian-American fusion of popular munchies such as pizza, sandwiches, steaks, and a surprisingly diverse vegetarian selection. Keep in mind that it is possible to reserve special seating above the stage. Tuesday is karaoke night.

Me and my friends went to the rainbow room for the some drinks, I got a bit tipsy, forgot to close my tab, and me and my friend went home. So the next day I called information to find out what time they open the next day so I can close my tab, information had no listing of the Rainbow. So I decided to risk it and drive over there the next morning to close my the tab. I drove an entire hour and I arive to find out that it was closed so I had mad the trip for nothing, and on top of that they had no hours on the door. I went back to and decided to go back there later on the evening this time it took me two hours due to the traffic on Sunset and when I had arrived there I was sent from person to person. The bar tender girl told me to go to the front desk, the lady at the front desk was really rude and told me I need the manager. The manager showed up a older looking man with really curly hair wearing glasses, so I explianed to him the situation, and he said he would be right back with my card. He then came back and he said they didn't have it and was treating me like if I was stupid. I then explained to him that this was the only bar I visited that night and it the only card I had so how else would I have gotten my drinks. He then admitted that they might have lost it or it was stolen, and that is my terrable expirience at the Rainbow, thank you...

Hollywood landmark that hasn't changed it's image: A festive mixture of rockers, groupies, tourists, off duty strippers, celebs, entertainment biz movers and shakers and spillovers from other nearby clubs. Great bang for your buck! $10 not only gets you in the door to a Sunset Strip bar on Friday or Saturday but also gets you 2 (free) drink tickets. Be forewarned that this place can be packed like a sardine can but with happy partiers. Although the more crowded the more the waitresses start to get pissed off (that's because they have to pay for drinks and food that they spill, so maybe understandably so, although they look pretty sexy when they get angry). If you can't handle the rock 'n roll vibe then take a walk down to Red Rock, which is just as crowded but with more straight up the middle people and a younger crowd. Or you could always pay $20 just to get in the door to the Key Club (2 buildings down) or Roxy (next door). : (
