I did some research online on the 09 Accord and was sent here by Edmunds because they had everything I wanted in stock. My research totally paid off and totally saved me a lot of time because it sucks when you have to go to dealership to dealership to find the exact vehicle you want. Edmunds made it super convenient for me. Anyways, since I had a reasonable amount of info on the car I wanted, the price I could afford, and the options available, I was ready to tackle the car dealership. I went there with an aggressive mentality because you never know what to expect at a car dealership. However, my defense mentality wasnât needed at all. One of the sales managers greeted me upon my arrival and was really friendly. I thought that there had to be some kind of gimmick but there wasnât any. He was just genuinely nice! During the whole process, there was a no pressure atmosphere and he even helped me get good financing. It was effortless and I was out of the dealership within an hour with my brand new 09 Accord! So take Edmunds advice and head over to Miller Honda. They really know their stuff and how to treat a customer.
I've never bought a car before so I was ready for a nightmare experience. However, I guess I got really lucky! I went through the internet Department and Sarah's assistant, Kami, couldn't have been more helpful. After receiving various quotes from other dealerships, Sarah said she would match the quote I gave her and when I came in to do the paperwork no misc fees or charges popped up. Their OTD price matched mine (well, theirs was 5 bucks less). They even fed me lunch since I was waiting for the Finance guy to help me. I would very much recommend the internet department route, that way you avoid the wheel and deal of the regular salesmen.
I went there with all my research in hand, and they tried to charge me $2500 over the base price of the vehicle. Then they tried to get all creative with financing by taking $500 "off". I have impeccable credit and their financing was a joke (plus they were trying to lock me in for 72 months!) They used every single sleazy sales tactic in the book. They even separated my friend from me so I didn't have anyone to consult with. When I called up another friend who just bought the same car, he told me to walk away. Then price suddenly dropped another $500. If you go there, do your research, know what your payments will be, and don't get strong-armed into a bad decision that you'll have to make payments on for 6 years.
