We've used Teco Movers for over 10 years and they are the best at long distance piano moving in our experience.

Teco has always been on time and usually early, their office people are always courteous on the phone and happy to answer any questions.

The BEST thing about them is that the piano will be picked up and delivered in a straight shot run (at least for us, that's always been the case). Point A to Point B.

Many piano movers will pick up the piano and it will sit on a truck filled with other pianos, making a trip halfway around the US before it actually gets delivered.

Teco will generally move a piano in less than a week. Other big name movers will take weeks as they make a route around the US.

Give them a call before you contract with another mover.

When moving a piano, ask ALL the movers for a quote, delivery time and if they are insured. Let the answers speak for themselves!

Teco for us has always been the least expensive and fastest shipper of them all. Our customers report that the piano arrives without damage, without visible scratches and the piano movers were courteous.

Always prompt, always polite: I've used Teco's services three times in the last four years, and the services of other piano movers twice in that same period (I'm in the military and, yes, it's been a busy time in my life), always for the same 50-inch upright piano, always from a first floor room to another first floor room. Teco is the only mover I used that was late, either in pickup or delivery -- heck, they actually arrived 15 minutes earlier than the stated time once and were there waiting for me to let them into the house to pick up the piano. The other two movers I used either changed the times on me at the last second or just made me wait until outside of their stated pickup window, which was, to put it mildly, annoying but expected after experiencing what passes for service these days!
All three times, the Teco guys arrived in a group of three. They greeted me politely and took pains to protect the piano and flooring as they were doing their job. The same group of guys actually picked up the piano on a repeat move, and remembered me from before, which was pretty funny.
My bench and piano were never damaged during the three moves with Teco
