User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI am new to this area moving here from WA state and when I went to pass by this little resteraunt and got a whiff of the wonderful aromas coming from within I was compelled to stop. It was the most Fantastic Hoome Cooked meal I have had "out" in a very long time. I will be sure to bring all my family and friends that come to visit me here in CA.

We used to go to Angelenas in Sherman Oaks, til they closed down--loved their smothered pork chops, could not find a restaurant that compared--until last night when we came upon this little jewel! Soul Food Kitchen is the BOMB-felt like coming home! When we walked in and saw the smothered pork chops simmering in the gravy, we almost fell to our knees with joy! And once we put the fork to the chop and it fell off the bone, we almost cried! The portions are HUGE, the flavors are awesome! The prices are more than fair! Staff was helpful. I just can't say enough great things about ALL the food, you MUST try it for yourself, I promise you won't be disappointed =-)
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTHE BEST SOUL FOOD EXPRESS KITCHEN IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA. THE FOOD IS REALLY EXCELLENT AND THE FLAVOR IS JUST RIGHT. PLUS I THINK THAT THE CASHIER IS CUTE :)

I agree. The food is GREAT! You can not wory about diets and weight when you go here, because the food is just too good and tempting, My favorites are everything!
