    A shopaholic's dream come true: Fred Segal is a shopping mecca--the kind of store with the power to make or break a new brand. They carry all the designers from the latest jeans brands to high-end stuff like Prada and Moschino. One of the Segals (Farther from 3rd Street) has the spendier stuff, plus a great beauty section with tons of cool brands (Bumble & Bumble, NARS, Kiehls). The other one has some (relatively) cheaper stuff, most of the guy-wear, and a salon/spa. But there's no real rhyme or reason to it. Just go and have fun! Prices are a bit steep, and there's an eatery on each side if you need to let your credit card cool down.
