Almost indescribably bad. Here's your menu: ravioli, spaghetti, lasagna. Or, you can get 1/2 ravioli, 1/2 spaghetti...or 1/2 lasagna and 1/2 ravioli, or...you get the idea.
It's all mushy, and smothered in a bland marinara sauce.
Inexplicably crowded...do people in Torrance really think this is Italian cuisine?
I've been going to this place for years! I know it's been around since 1945, not sure if this location was or not, but I've been coming here since 2003. I discovered it when it was still relatively unknown because I never had to wait very long. Over the years, the wait has gotten longer but nothing over the top, half hour tops. My ex girlfriend found it first and she introduced it to me. It was "our place". It's gotten bigger over the years, much so that now they have lunch hours when they were only open from 4pm to 9-10pm.
Anyone that b*tches about it is just plain stupid. If you want a bunch of big pricey choices, go to Olive Garden which is practically across the street. If you want simple home cooking Italian, then this place is PERFECT!
The owner is super friendly! You can't miss him, he's probably the only person in the place that doesn't look like he's in high school,HAHA. He's an older fellow with gray hair. My ex and I frequented so much that he knew us already. I'll never forget, I had a car accident one night while my ex was having dinner there with her brother. When I told her on the phone that I had just had an accident, I guess she told the owner and he sent me over my favorite dish, FREE to help me feel better!
Now that's how you get customers for life buddy!
The all teenage wait staff can be a little bit of a turn off but overall, it's pretty good service.
I love it, it's a South Bay treasure. I don't live in the South Bay anymore, I'm in the SFV but I do trek down still just to have me some Vince's!!
Best lasagna I've ever had. Service & food are wonderful.
