Unprofessional, rude and misinformed! Although, I got a part-time job through them I hated dealing with this office!!! They are extremely patronizing and will treat you like S**t .. My experience was very similar to the girls below. sad sad story ... They called all my previous employers as well, offering their services. This place is a joke! Go to a different location these people will try to take advantage of you if you let them and work you for less pay than you probably made at your first job in High School. As for the receptionist..... uuuuugh!!! She surely fits the face of their company. Good job whoever hired her!!! suits them to the T
Run -don't walk- away from interviewing with this branch. Specifically with an assistant branch manager with a "chipper" voice.
This assistant branch manager randomly emailed me regarding a permanent, salaried position after finding my resume on Career Builder. At first I thought her email was spam since it contained poor grammar and a misspelling, but no.
After I contacted her, she arranged a phone interview for me with the client, but would not tell me many specifics about the company - later I'd find out why.
After the phone interview went well, she then informed me that not only did they want to interview me the day after next - bright and early in the morning an hour and a half away, let's say around 9:30 a.m.- but that I'd have to first drive to her offices (30 minutes away from the interview site), to be there two hours before the interview at 7:30 a.m. so she could interview me.
She did not go out of her way to give me much information so that I could optimize my interview e.g. volunteer the names of the panel members who would be interviewing me. This is "step one" basic info: help the person you are recruiting do well so you can place them and get your commission!
After blowing $300 in a mad, exhaustive dash for a suit and cramming to prepare for an interview in the middle of cramming for finals, I get up at 5:00 a.m. the day of the interview to make it to the Appleone asst. manager's office on time and she's late to arrive.
I wait at the front for 20 minutes while the receptionist is subtly rude. I'm obliged to sign up with Appleone and provide references (soon after I learn that some people's professional references get HOUNDED by Appleone for their business).
When she shows up and I speak with her, I realize that she didn't provide much information about the job because she doesn't actually know much information about the company or position and is pumping ME for info based on my conversation with her client. USELESS.
I go to the interview, seem to do quite well and hear them talk of having me meet the "higher-ups," then leave and call the Appleone to communicate with her. She gets excited, tells me she'll get back to me when she hears word from them.
No word from her since, after two communications from me. To my knowledge, she has not called my references after informing me that she would do so very soon.
I'm not bitter about the job - that behavior is typical of so many companies - but the gall of money grubbing bottom feeders like this individual needs to be publicized so that others can side step this type of experience, if possible.
To recap, this assistant branch manager at this Cerritos Appleone office was:
Unprofessional in her behavior
Uninformed
No common professional courtesy
Poor communication skills, right down to her emails replete with misspellings, punctuation errors, etc.
If this one is any indication, be prepared for your recruiter's limitless potential for stupidity and dodgy behavior.
If they are recruiting you, be aware that you hold at least some of the cards and don't bend to any ridiculous demands e.g. listed above.
Interview with another branch, and don't subject yourself to this type of romper room behavior!
