About:This pub in Long Beach is a longtime favorite of many locals. It was one of the first pubs to open after the end of Prohibition. It has been through many owners over the years but the place stays the same. The Guinness is still quenching the thirst of the regulars who come here to see their neighborhood friends. It is a great place to stop and have a beer if you are looking for a jolly atmosphere and a little bit of history rolled into one.

    Best neighborhood bar around...: O’Connell’s’ is the true definition of a neighborhood bar, the place has been around forever...drinks are priced right, almost cheap compared to other places..the bartenders are friendly, know what their doing (they mix em’ strong) and know you by name.
    The atmosphere is right and you’re surrounded by friends, everyone’s welcome, very relaxed setting. Ask anyone, and they'll tell you "been coming here for years". The first time you go to O'Connell's will not be your last.
    There’s two pool tables in the back, good jukebox, and Shillelagh’s (restaurant next door) has great food and will serve you at the bar..this is the place you always go to no matter what trendy bars there are, you’ll always end up at OC’s...

    customer: Rusty makes the BEST Bloody Mary anywhere....he is an awesome bartender and a great guy!!! I loved it at O'Connell's!!
