Friendly Employees: My wife and I live very close and frequently visit this coffee shop. The employees go out of their way to make you feel welcome and serve us with a courteous smile. A few actually make the effort to remember what we usually order and ask if we want the "usual". It appears that they enjoy their jobs and that goes a long way for customer service.
Awful Coffee: Their coffee is the worst. It's in self serve, thermal pots..left for hours. A cup of coffee is 5 cents more that Starbuck's. Go figure.
The Best Coffee in Town: Just around the corner from another million Starbucks' and other over-priced coffee shops is an "It's a Grind" coffee house. When you walk in, Patrick will say hello, and ask how your day is going. The first thing you noticce is that beauiful smell of great coffee. the second thing you will notice is the wonderful decore. The walls are warm, the furniture is comfortable, and the music is great.
My favorite drink there is the White Chocolate Mocha, served hot. I also know that their regular coffee, in whatever blend you want, is great no matter how you order it. They make their drinks to your wants. If you like it extra hot, it will be served extra hot. And likewise, the oposite is true.
There you will find wireless internet, free, for anyone who wants to use it. And there is always someone there to use it. There are always ashtrays on every table outside. There is always some yummy thing is the display, full of calories and sugar, that will delicious.
I know that whenever I walk into there, i will be welcomed, my name will be remembered, and i will get my coffee just the way I want it. I know that if I am staying for 15 minutes, or for three hours, i will be comfortable, welcomed, and pleased with everything there.
So, if you ever get a chance to go there, say hi to Patrick, he's the guy behind the register with the tattoos and black hair. Order a great cup of coffee, sit down, enjoy the atmosphere, and hango out for a while. I promiss you won't regrete it.
