The last time I visited Molaa was last Fall, September 2007. Moola was hosting its annual artists auction at the time. The quality of the mostly two-dimensional works was extraordinary along with the reputations of the artists. Opening bids began at between $500 to $35.000. Unfortunately we artists can only afford to look but what fantastic sights I saw. Consistently good work. Did not visit the gift shop - too crass and again, I was too broke, Molaa is located in an interesting section of old Long Beach that's being gentrified with small bistros and coffee shops. A wonderful, uncrowded place to spend a Sunday afternoon.
