I use to dine at the Fish Tale back in the early through mid 1990s when it was on the corner of Britton and Bellflower. Back then the food was excellent. However the service could vary greatly depending on the time of day and day of the week. Some of the best service was during the weekly lunch period in the bar. This was provided by the lady that normally worked that shift. Sometimes there would be a tall skinny red headed bartender (I think her name was Candy or something odd like that)who provided the worst service that I/we had ever had at any restaurant. She had a mouth on her worse than a sailor. Even then the food was excellent. My favorite was the shrimp scampi.
After not dining there for many years I returned about a year ago to dine again. This time the service was marginal and the quality of the food had really gone down hill. What ever you were doing back from 1988-1995 please bring it back.
My husband and I were quite disappointed with our dinner. Our dishes were bland and very expensive for the quantity of food that we received.
The service was good, but the food was average to poor.
