Pet Jungle

Before I even walked into this place I got a real bad vibe. When I saw the condition of some of the fish I understood why.

Several fish were showing signs of severe distress. One tank in particular had a fish laying listlessly on it's side barely clinging to life. The other fish in the tank looked in terrible shape too. It appeared as though it was nuzzling up to the other one in attempts to comfort it. It made me sad to look at them.

There was one fish in a tank that had clearly been dead for probably at least a week. This fish had that soft fuzzy gunk all over it that envelopes things that are decomposing in aquariums. DISGUSTING!

If you're looking for fish, avoid this place like the plague! On the other hand, if you're interested in reptiles you might want to check this shop out. I can't comment on the care that the reptiles were given because I didn't really give them a critical look and, even if I had, I'm not knowledgeable enough about them to give a completely accurate appraisal on the care they are receiving. What I can say is that the store has a much larger selection of herps than I've seen for quite a while. It would be worth checking out if this is your scope of interest.

This store, from what I could tell in the short time I was there, seemed to have at least two people running it. A woman that "runs" the fish department and a young gentleman that, I'm guessing, is in charge of the reptiles. The woman didn't even look up when I entered the store and seemed oblivious to my presence the entire time. The "reptile guy" was the one who politely approached me and offered assistance while I was looking at the fish.

To sum things up:
If you're looking for fish, run away like the wind!
If you like herps, definitely check out the selection they have. If they are receiving proper care, this might be one of the "go to" stores for your needs.

I LOVE THIS STORE!! if you love reptiles you should always come to pet and jungle.. i always come here for all my reptiles supplies cause they have the lowest prices and all their reptiles are all healthy. they have the rarest reptiles. the employees over there are funny and nice and they tell you every piece of information about any reptiles. to me this is my favorite pet store

This is a great store and they have a huge selection of pet products. The best part is that they are family owned. The owner is a real sweatheart and she and her employees bend over backward to provide service. I have a red dachshund and I get his food, treats and many other doggy items here. I just became the caretaker of a Desert Tortoise. I got expert advice on how to make her comfortable this Winter while she hibernates. I reccomend this store to anyone that has a pet.
