| About: | Designed as a replica of an imperial Chinese palace, the Pacific Asia Museum is a veritable treasure trove of artifacts from Pacific Asian countries, such as Japan and China. Established in 1971, the museum's 17,000 pieces have been donated by Pasadena art collector Grace Nicholson, who passed away in 1948. Her love of art has been translated in to this museum that features the best of Asian art, sculptures and ceramics, which date back to the Han and Ming dynasties. Make sure you drop into the courtyard garden, which has been designed to look exactly like a Chinese garden. |
