My family has been going to Johnny's Sport Shop for over 30 years and they have always been THE place to go for good advice and wonderful shopping experience. Any store can be full of pole, reels, and lures, but Johnny's is full of knowledge and character. They have the best customer service and Bobby is one of the most wise fisherman around and he will not hesitate to share all the secrets he knows with you or anyone in the shop. The shop is legendary and my family is honored to have know the family for such a long time.

Johnny's Sports Shop is a gem, a true "mom & pop" store where you immediately feel welcome whatever your prowess as a fisherman. Any question is answered in depth and with a smile. Bob Ota has got to be one of the most knowledgeable (and happiest) guy I have ever met when it comes to angling. Full selection and all price ranges whatever you are into (salt water, fresh water or fly - sadly I am into all three).

Only downside is that you don't want to leave!

This is the best tackle shop I have been to in So Cal. They know the products and are all fishermen (except for maybe grandma). They sell everything from inexpensive setups for the kids to the big tackle to bring the "cows" home. Every time I ask them where to go, what to use, or which boat would be a good bet, they have been right on the money. Nope...don't work for them, but sure do shop there.
