Mr Pasadena is right. I gave it three instead of one, because it really is "average"
great bar for underage kids to sneak in to, but once you are a sophomore or junior in college you are easily the oldest person there. food=bad. but it does have a decent atmosphere, so if you have nothing else to do, its aight.
I gave it ONE star to intentionally drive the overall rating down as much as I could, however the bar is worth about 2 or 3 at most. It's a great bar for kid's who just turned 21 and boys who's balls haven't dropped yet. I would equate Barney's Beanery to a really lame high school party where anyone can get in and half the people don't want to see half the people. It's a very clicky, cheesy hot-spot for the socially under developed. Don't go there if you're hungry because the food is rancid. Don't go there on a date, because you won't find a table and it's so bright you'll feel awkward. And don't go there if you have ANYthing better to do.
If you're going to go bar hopping in Old Town you will inevitably wind up drunkly stumbling into this place at one point in the night because let's face it, there's just not that many places to go in OT anymore.
Okay for watching sports but the food sucks especially at the very expensive prices.
