The staff is nice, but the seaweed in the sushi was gummy, not fresh. The crab spread in the california roll had a lot of mayo stuff in the mix. The staff forgot to put No Avocado in the Tempura rolls, we were going to ask them to take it back, but no one came by for like 10 min., we decided to just take it out ourselves.
The mushroom soup was not warm when they brought it and very bland, as was the Udon noodle soup my husband got.
I ordered the teriyaki chicken plate and the chicken was not good. It tasted boiled, instead of grilled. And the teriyaki sauce tasted NOT LIKE Teriyaki sauce, it was deluted and watery,the chicken tasted like paper.
All in all, the service was not horrible, but the food IS.
(I think people know, bc the PF changs, cheesecake factory, even Islands has at least a 30/40min wait on a Saturday night, while Tokyo Wako is about 75% empty.)
Maybe it was what we ordered, but I highly doubt it.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsEveryone who did not give Tokyo Wako five stars is absolutely insane. The food is incredible and one of the best Japanese food restaurants I've ever been to. Compared to Benihana's, this place is a miracle. Don't even bother going to Benihana's anymore. The sushi is always fresh as well as everything else. The service is amazing: everyone is so nice! You should definitely try this place! AMAZING!!!

I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I EAT THERE THREE TO FOUR TIME A MONTH!! THEIR FOOD IS LIKE FREAKING AMAZING!!!! AND THEY HAVE GREAT ICE CREAM!!

Do you work here? This place is not good.... and even it you thought it was good, it's overpriced to be eating there 3/4 times a week. You work there, I know.

If you're writing this cuz u own the place good for you, or maybe your going to a different one, that is not in Paseo. Seriously the food tasted like they made it without love. Even the soup that they bring you before the meal was only slightly warm. Maybe the room where they cook in front of u, the food is better, but we sat in the dinner area and that was really not good food at all.
