When I went there it was a zoo. The waiting room is so cramped. My cat peed in her cage with all the dogs barking. Maybe that was to be expected. Anyway, the vet I saw wasn't very nice. My cat needed antibiotics for some type of oral infection and he said he was just going to extract all of her teeth without really examining her. then when I objected, he said that during surgery he could do what he wanted without needing to consult me. I took the antibiotics but the guy just seemed like he wanted to make money. I don't think I saw their main vet, I think I saw an associate so maybe there's a difference. Either way I'm not going back.
i am feral cat caretaker and have brought in several cats for neutering or spaying. at times the office seems overwhelmingly busy, but the doctors and staff are very kind and caring. this morning i brought in a very sick and dying stray cat to be euthanized and the vet was ever so gentle, and inspected poor charlie without repulsion to his infested coat. he even said goodbye to him before administering the shot, and was gentle with me also. one of the desk staff girls was very considerate also. thank you.
Dr. Jimerson is wonderful!: We've taken all of our pets to Gateway Animal Hospital for over 12 years - and we only see Dr. Jimerson. He's great. Very caring. He even calls us at home to make sure they're doing well. Parking is sometimes a pain. And usually they're always so busy that the wait times can be long and therefore, the waiting room is often crowded. But for us, it's worth the wait to see Dr. Jimerson! We drive almost 30 minutes from our home in Valencia to Gateway because we can't bear to make anyone but Dr. Jimerson their doctor!

I had a terrible experience with this vet (license #6886). At first he was nice and when problems occurred he acted distant. In the evaluation he stated that he directly spoke face to face with me at the hospital about the situation and we actually spoke over the telephone. When I returned to the facility to retrieve copies of records the evaluation stated x-rays were taken, however there were no x-rays in the file. When you take your pet to any vet I recommend that you stay with your pet just as you would a person. I suggest prior to taking your pet to a vet that you interview several and/or get recommendations. And, above all, if you get any uncomfortable feeling I suggest that you go to another vet who feels comfortable. And, especially watch your pet, if the pet seems uncomfortable have empathy and treat the pet like you would a person. I wish I had filed a formal complaint with the vet board and/or taken legal actions. It is past the one year limitation time. If you have any problems with a vet file a complaint and/or do legal action within the specified time frame which you can get from the vet board or an animal lawyer.
