The food is home style and tastes great. Some of my favorites are the Tandoori Curry entree, the Club Sandwich, "Meatball" Sub, and the Mediterranean plate are all yummy. Its exactly what you'd expect from any local diner not corporately funded. It may just be a bit too much for "normal" people that are used to walking into a Coco's. But if you're more the adventurous type and don't mind the average looking furniture or close quarters inside, I think most would like it.
I am not an employee, nor am I a vegetarian, nor would I even call myself a health nut. I am, however a local and have been eating and shopping at Follow Your Heart for over 30 years. The food is terrific, the prices are reasonable and the patio is a wonderful place to enjoy a fresh squeezed apple/carrot juice, a cup of amazing Rocky Roasters (another local establishment)decaf coffee and a Avocado, Tomato and Sprouts sandwich!
Not sure who wrote all these glowing reviews. Probably Follow your Heart employees. FYH is OK, but far from the gormet vegetarian delight that these gushing reviewers make it out to be. Probably the worst ambiance of any resetaurant I've ever visited. Rickety tables jammed right next to each other. Stools at the bar that have no foot-rests or back rests. Maybe for the died-in-th-wool vegan it's paradise, but for most of us normal people it's not a place I'd recommend.

I totally agree. If your looking for Culinary Vegitarian, try Hugo's (if it's still there) on Riverside. For a close, local, "just ok" vegan fix, I do the take out soup and salad. The store has a great tea and herb selection. But to say " I have yet to see paralleled" tells me how short your tongue is. I have tasted the same dish, much beyond parallel, as well as others. I totally agree, it's a veggie "Denny's after 2 on a Friday night". It's not even a paradise for a died-in-wool vegan.
I like the place - interesting crowd but I do agree they stack you in too close inside - try patio. Reuben sandwich is great or 1/2 a salad...
