How in the world you get a nail in food? You must eat like a Caveman! You need to go learn how to use a fork and knife and have a brain/common sense. Biting it the second time on a nail??? What??? I've been there like 8 times, 5 star every time!
Horrible experience. My girlfriend and I went to this place because it was recommended, so I figured I would try it. I ordered the breaded steak, I believe it was called milanesa empanizada or something similar. It tasted fine, nothing out of this world, but after taking my third bite, I chewed on something hard. I thought maybe it was a piece of fat from the meat so I slowly and carefully chewed again and realized it was too hard to be fat. My next thought was I had somehow either chipped or lost a tooth and was chewing on it, so I spit out the food into my napkin to look for it. What I found was nothing close to what I would have ever imagined. It was a little black nail, not a finger-nail, a nail!! I showed my girfriend who was sitting across from me and she could not believe it either. Of course she stopped eating her food immediately. With our appetites ruined, I informed the waiter, who curtly replied, "How did that get in there"? He didn't show any empathy or concern, he said he would go talk to the manager-who did not have the courtesy to come out and apologize himself-came back and said they would not charge me for the meal. Not wanting to make a scene, I accepted the offer. At this point we just wanted to leave. We got up and headed towards the exit, then the waiter came over and directed us towards the register by the entrance. "Well, at least the manager is going to apologize," I thought. Wrong again. The reason why I was asked to go to the cashier was to pay for my girlfriend's food. I stared at the cashier for a few seconds and paid him for the meal and 1 cent over for tip. Probably the worst restaurant experience of my life.
We went for Valentines Day as this is my favorite restaurant however we were very dissapointed - the food did not have it's normal flavor, my chicken still had feathers on it and that about ruined the meal for me - the onions were not even cooked they were raw and cold on a warm plate of chicken, there was NO garlic sauce on their famous 1/2 chicken and the plantains were black. All in all I was very very dissapointed with this visit.
The servious was OK we felt very rushed and the place was not that busy
