User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsWell, we got into this place right before it was about to close...so this might not be the best representation of this place...
The waffles are excellent and the bennedicts are very good. The sandwiches are okay to good, but are lacking that pizzaz that a good ole home cooking joint should have.
The waitresses are nice and the decor alright.
Worth trying, but I wish they would have a little something more -- and I can't put my finger on it. I will give it another try and re-review.-

Side Street Cafe is the best breakfast shop in the whole wide world! In California it is hard to find such impeccable and pleasant service. But, you will find it here. Their prices can't be beat. They do not nickle and dime you for everything like commercial restaurants. A couple can easily get out of there under 20 bucks. The wait can be a bit long on Sundays - so plan accordingly and beat the church crowd! They'll have FREE coffee waiting outside anyways if you do have to wait.
