I have been there quite a few times over many years.
THe prices for Sushi are below average., so is the quality of their fish....BELOW AVERAGE.
The seaweed for the hand rolls is soft and chewy...Not grade A quality.
There is nothing more unappetizing, than eating at the Sushi Bar and smelling Clorox or Bleach, as they are moping the floors, while patrons are eating.
There are many more Excellent Quality Sushi Restuarants in the Westlake, Thousand Oaks area.

Disappointed in my neighbor -

This is one of the most racist comments I have ever heard! Would this person have abandoned thier table at Ruth's Chris and expected that no one would question it? Just another example of racism in America. I live in Thousand Oaks and frequest Cho Cho San and have never been treated with anything but curtesy.

The service was always great for me and so was the food. If robertmichaelpecci asked other sushi chefs what their ethnicity was he would know its pretty common to find sushi chefs that are not Japaneese. And as for being overpriced they probably have some of the lowest prices in the T.O. area.-

I have been to Cho Cho San and everytime my sushi was fresh as it gets and the seaweed was fine. I did smell bleach one time but I arrived right as it opened and only smelt it in the parking lot behind the restaurant. I don't know about you but I was glad to know they keep it sterile. Don't be turned of by this review read all of them.
