This is my favorite restaurant here in Ventura County. The food taste and food presentation is excellenrt. The venue is-Romantic, the ambience is-Classy, the price is Affordable. The service sometimes is slow but it happens even in some fancy restaurants, so I don't consider it a negative rating. Maybe the number of reservations during holidays should be limited so all customers will timely be served.

My Family and friends have been going to Boccaccio's Restaurant for many years and I have never experienced anything but a wonderful evening with excellent service and food. This restaurant has been outstanding in our community for years and has the most beautiful views of the lake that is unsurpassed by any other dining place in the area.
The perfect place for a romantic evening on a warm summer night.
WE LOVE IT! The Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna is wonderful and is second to none.
Other personal recommendations are
Blue Wedge, Chilean Sea Bass, Australian Lobster Tail (which I might add is reasonably priced for the quality) Filet Mignon and for dessert Baked Alaska.
I can tell you from my own personal experience that the two owners are warm genuine generous people and a customer would have to be very high on the obnoxious scale for them to be rude to anyone.
Please try this place for yourself…it's very causal on weekends and it's a great place to bring the kids. They even allow customers to bring their pet dog during the daytime on the courtyard area where they have outside dining overlooking the lake.
Which gives you an idea of how customer friendly this place is.
It's very informal on weekends for lunch and yet more formal in the evening without being stuffy.
A great place for groups and large parties.
In the summer it does get very busy on certain nights and there is a wait if you don’t have reservations. We love this place and we are real customers that have been going there for years....

i was in this restraunt on Friday 08-15-08 the service was TERRIBLE. The food was good. The manager came over to one of the customers who complained about the service and he just went crazy. The manager at the top of his lungs said tho this guy "you are a A.. H..e, and get the F..k out of my restraunt. Also don'tgo to the one next door because I (he) said he owns that place also. What a fool he made of himself. I wrote a letter email to the owner who never took the time to respond. So DON"T GO THERE anyone who uses that language in front of all the customers and speaks to people like that doesn't deserve our business.
