User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI am sad to report Cafe Bellissimo is gone, closed. I will miss Cafe Bellissimo, that is where our family goes on special occassions. In fact that is how we found out about the closing, my adult daughter and I were going to see Rent and we stopped by to have a special dinner (her favorite restaurant) and found men stripping out the fixtures. This is a sad day for the West Valley as one of our premier dinning and entertainment establishments has folded. The bad economy hurts everyone.

We just had the most wonderful evening at Cafe Bellissimo! Our server brought us the most delicious pomegranate (sp?) martinis. Then we had a delicious order of perfectly cooked calamari fritti. My wife had the lobster ravioli and I had the ossobucco; Both were delicious! Our server, Kathleen sang Italian arias and broadway for us. All of the serving staff sang continuously while we were there. What fun and terrific food! p.s. We used a coupon and got 12.95 off our second entree. Pretty good deal!

I have been going to Cafe Bellissimo for years. I met my wife here on our first date. The Music is great the food is good.
In recent times the service is less than desirable with the exception of Mark and the bus boys.
If it is a cold night, dress warmly. There is no heating. Double check your bill. The last two times I have been there I have been over charged or double charge.
And the place really needs a face lift.

To Ron G and Others, Cafe Bellissimo was not hurt by the economy but had a dispute with the landlord regarding repairs and who was going to pay. I will not miss Cafe Bellissimo since 5 days before they closed on February 13, 2009, they willing took my fiance's $500.00, deposit for our wedding and wedding reception to be held there on April 11, 2009. To this day, we cannot get them to give us back our deposit. They are crooks, and if they ever reopen again (as they told me they would) I will be there to picket out front so that they do not make a dime. This is how they treat their long term customers!!! PLEASE BOYCOTT CAFE BELLISSIMO IF THEY SHOULD REOPEN IN THE FUTURE.
Lol, don't be too harsh on poor Cafe Bellissimo. You're exaggerating a little too much with wanting to boycott such a wonderful place. It's not as if it's their fault that they MUST repair the place. It's not as if they will never pay you back. They will. On a side note, my boss from work actually did go their because I recommended him to go there, and he said that him and his wife had a great time, food was delicious and well they had fun. Sure a few people may disagree but not everyone has the same taste. As for what has happen on that deposit of yours Kathy, I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm sure they're bound to re-open again. All they are doing is repairing and so forth. Patience is genuine. All you have to do is get your money back and not go there again since they did that to you. Not bust a "smart" move and boycott cafe bellissimo. Lol. Especially in this time of crisis. What you should do after with that money is go to another restaurant or simply go on vacation! Because I know I would do that! Lol.
Oh and one more thing, me and a few friends are long term customers, and this isn't how they treated us. They're great people with delicious food. :D
