About:This is one of the smattering of places in the Valley to see real jazz and blues men (and women) perform their craft. The crowd knows their stuff too, by keeping this fledgling room busy enough to draw bigger names and offer some security to the jazz and blues community. Part restaurant and part pool hall, Cozy's has certainly found its niche in recent years and it's certainly a nice place to be.

Wednesday night is now the new hot spot!! If you are a musican, singer, or just love live music the CSON Lounge on Wednesday Night with Charlie Bereal is the place to be. The house band is the BEST!!! and the guest musicians that come through from all over the world are dynamic. These are the real musicians because they have not coordinated anything they just play. I would suggest getting there around 10ish because when 11 hits, it is packed. Don't be surprised if top artist come through. They know this is the place to be!!

High Steve!: Ever since I stumbled upon and then into Cozy's ,my smile widened and my ears perked up!
This place is funky and has an interesting mix of clientel. From drop in recording blues artists to sherman oaks shabby sheek!
The best nigt to go is definitely Monday, you never know who will drop by and jam:from Robert Cray to Buddy Guy.
The place is usually packed, they even have Champaigne for those of us who don't drink beer!
The place rocks and the pool tables in the back provide diversion durring a"break" as well as an excellent resource for people watching and is truley a dichotomy of cultures and musical tastes. I am very hard to please when it comes to musicians(especially blues guitarists) and with exception of a terrible mix from the soundboard (only 8 `vs` 16"; It is a roovin' place!

Karaoke Night: I was traveling one night after work with a fellow co-worker and we were looking for any bar in site. I noticed Cozy's and decided to take a look inside. There was an artist on stage that didn't draw a big crowd and was coming to a close of her performance (thank God!). I made small talk with the bartender who gave me an overview of how this particular venue have different themes during the week. He suggested that I come back on Karaoke night when there were more people from the Los Angeles area in attendance. I took him up on his suggestion and I had a great time and told my friends that they have to come. The only problem is that it's a long way from home where my main friends reside, but it's fairly close to work. I am hard to impress, so for me to take the time to write this, you should definitely know I'm "keeping it real."
    Thank you for reading. Mimi
P.S. I deserve a free drink or something *wink*!
