I went to Ikea on thursday and there weren't many customers so I was hoping to find some help to furnish my bedroom with all new stuff however Ikea employees hate working. They completely ignore customers. Had to say " hi excuse me" more than 3 times to an attendant and he was 5 feet away from me doing absolutely NOTHING! And they are racist to non whites even though most of them are minorities. Actually minorities can be the worst offenders. From the moment I walked through the door to the time I left, not one employee had even a remote desire to help me out and I had to literally beg for help. The worst moment was when I went to the delivery section, which was the last part of my unpleasant journey at Ikea, the attendant just stood there doing nothing and he did not want to be bothered whatsoever. Once the attendant turned around, he looked at me staring as if fully "annoyed" to the fact that I called on him for help which was after about 10 minutes of total silence between us. The problem with employees hating their jobs and not wanting to help is ABSOLUTELY the fault of upper management of NOT training them and probably belittling their employees. As a result, I spent more than 3 hrs there and had spent more than $900 which I returned and got my money back after the last incident. The day I spend another penny at Ikea will be the day when pigs can fly.

Cheap stuff, very good for starter furniture. The furniture is not sturdy and the consulting/design services at this location is nonexistent.
They contract out to private designers. They never respond to calls for services.
