| About: | While primarily a natural foods restaurant, it does have a separate area where you can just come in and buy groceries. These, of course, consist of delicious home-baked breads, healthy and delicious pastries, desserts and salad dressings. The store's own special blend of tea is also for sale, in several different varieties. When dining at the restaurant, you will enjoy the same great stuff, prepared to perfection and served promptly. |

When in LA I am a fan of this restaurant.
I go to the valley just to eat there.
I feel great .

Going to a restaurant named "Good Earth" pretty much should be a given that the food is wholesome and healthy. One would also assume that they would do their best to cater to those who would like to remain healthy. My daughter (6 yrs) has Celiac disease. There was no effort at all to help us find gluten free choices there. I specifically ordered CORN tortillas and was twice brought wheat. I asked for brown rice alone and was twice brought pilaf (containing gluten). This after I had specifically stated that my daughter could get violently ill! 38% of people have Celiac disease or some kind of gluten intolerance in the US alone. Other restaurants who have developed gluten free choices are reporting 10 - 15% increases in their business (Outback for one). "Good Earth" refuses to try. I've spoken to their headquarters to no avail. There is nothing "Good" about "Good Earth" restaurant in my opinion. How about giving choices to those 38%? Too much trouble?
The food was disgusting. I ordered a veggie platter with brown rice. The vegetables tasted like they were frozen veggies warmed up in a microwave. They were also very soggy. The brown rice was dry and over cooked. There was no seasoning and no presentation. I will never go back to Good Earth. Yuck.
