| About: | Eclectic Cafe is located in the heart of burgeoning NoHo arts district, an acronym for the creative enterprises that have dominated this strip of North Hollywood since 1992. If you are a meat and potatoes type, this is not your stop. On the other hand if you like the idea of an appetizer menu that runs the gamut from Chinese to Thai to Italian choices, you are sure to be a regular here. It also offers wonderful combination salads like a warm spinach basil salad with toasted olive oil, prosciutto and pine nut dressing. There are also standard pasta, grilled chicken and seafood dishes and an excellent wine list. The Chilean chardonnay is outstanding. |

What a fun evening. When friends asked me where
I wanted to meet for my birthday dinner, I did not
hesitate to shout out, "Eclectic Cafe"!--A restaurant
not only known for its fine, fresh and highest quality food, but for its outstanding service. We were delighted on ALL counts. We ordered a combination of pastas and salads and as we love to do, shared them. Our taste buds were delighted!
Then, the waiter brought us a cookie with a candle, and a platter decorated with "Happy Birthday" drawn in carmel fudge sauce with chocolate happily dancing all over the plate. Thank you for a memorable evening. I love eating and laughing at the same time.

Overstaffed yet horrible service...? Perhaps you get what you pay for. We came in at 8pm on a Friday and it was maybe a quarter full (no need for reservations). It took 15 min to get a server, then our drinks took another 15. The amazing part is that the staff congregates around the bar, sending out the message "we don't give a s***". The food was a "3" at best (who serves lamb blood-rare?) and we left feeling sorry for our server for the lack of talent in the kitchen & at the bar. We will NEVER come back.
By far my favorite local restaurant. The Salmon Nicoise is to die for!

First allow me to apologize for the much delayed response to this review, as I just found our name listed on this website. There is no excuse for poor performance on the part of our wait staff, in fact one of the things we pride ourselves in is having a very diverse, fun, and professional staff. Perhaps you will one day let us prove to you just how amazing the people who work in this establishment are. To ere is human, as is forgiveness. As for the food, we use the freshest ingredients and we try our hardest to be as consistent as possible. We believe we do a very good job preparing delicious food, but do apologize if your experience was not so. We are very serious about maintaining close relationships with our patrons, and welcome any comments or concerns, as it helps us to be better. If you allow us, we will hopefully change your mind on the subject of our restaurant. Thank you.
