About:The name of the place refers to the checks that actors get for work done in the past. Papered on the walls are what those checks look like after too many years and are checks for ridiculously small amounts like fourteen cents! Local actors bring those checks in, and instead of cashing them, get a free drink in return. This is a fun place to drink and scan the crowd, some of those faces might be tomorrow's stars. Some great food is available too.

    My favorite Pub in the valley - great happy hour (cheap prices, and long (happy) hours. Absolutely the best Jukebox in Los Angeles! Very comfortable seating available, free popcorn all the time, free hotdogs (on football sundays), Dart Board - you can order food from places around the pub and eat there. Bartenders go out of their way to make you feel at home. (Only criticism - wish they had a bigger Import beer selection on tap and in bottle)
