frozen fish, rubbery shrimp ,calamari i would'nt feed my dog ,horrible waitstaff, the freak playing guitar(thats entertainment???)my zagat guide lied to me !!!!!!
I have eaten at Tulipano's twice. The first time was many more than 10 years ago. It was good then, but didn't impress enough become a regular stop. My wife and I thought we would try it again. It was the definition of awful. The food was most definitely previously frozen. If we had wanted that, we could have gone to the market and grabbed a Swansons. The service was good. But to pay $65 for frozen microwaved rubber fish and a frozen flattened chicken breast from a bag is just wrong. We seriously considered refusing to pay for our meal.
If you like authentic italian food, this is the place to be. The food is excellent and good friendly service. All the friends who I have taken with me to sample the food, love the food and the service. However, if you go to a restaurant because of the area where it is located, this is not a good place for you, it is located in a kind of industrial neighborhood. I go out for the good food, don't care much for the area.
