Recently I decided to purchase my first vehicle. I was extremely excited and decided to go to Claremont Toyota. I always pass it on the freeway. I had completely fallen in love with a certain Toyota vehicle. Even though I had heard negative things about the dealership I decided to give them a chance. At first I was glad I had given them the benefit of the doubt. The person who helped me out was extremely nice and I kept contact with this individual for updates. After a while though I noticed that there was no interest in helping me out. I was not given any alternatives and basically left in the dark. To this day I have not heard back from them and am extremely disappointed. I have waited for weeks for an answer regarding the financing of the vehicle I had wished to purchase. Not even a call to let me know "Hey we can't help you out Iâm sorry" or "Why don't you come in and we can discuss any alternative?" NOTHING! I know that they could care less because one less customer is no big deal for them but it sucks that I have been waiting and waiting. I called the first couple of times to see what was going on but never got a straight answer. All I was told was "We're looking into it" or "I'm gonna ask and get back to you" but still nothing. It has been a few weeks and I decided to give up hope after their sales associate could not give me a straight answer. It's sad to see a dealership work like that. How can you give someone hope about a new car and then just forget about them. I understand that they probably get hundreds of people swarming in to buy vehicles and one less won't make them lose sleep at night but seen from my point of view it sucks! I had waited and waited to purchase a new car. I was so excited and now all thatâs left is an ounce of hope that maybe, just maybe Iâll get a call back...but don't worry I won't hold my breath.
Service department is a rip off...these people are criminals. Whatever you do, do not take your vehicle here for service even if you have a warranty. They try to sell you everything in the book even if you don't need it. John Yarber, the assistant service manager is the biggest one...I had big issues with him this past weekend. I am going to be filing formal complaints with Toyota and the BBB. Do yourself a favor, listen to all the bad reviews on here and find another dealer to purchase/ service your cars. These people are unethical crooks!
