User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy daughter and I went a couple of months ago. Although, I haven't been there in years, I was quite surprised to read some of these negitive reviews.
I personally thought the pizza was as I always remember it, it was awesome!!! Lots of cheese, lots of pepperoni, black olives, it was the bomb! I loved it! We went around 2ish, so it wasn't too packed, around six tables taken including us. The service was great, the waitress we had was very kind and offering, and came around often. And it didn't take long for us to get our order.
It was a great experience for me. I enjoyed the food, and the service, and I would highly recommend it to everybody who loves pizza.-

This pizza is not all that. The service does at times
suck. They need to hire more older/respondsible people. Spagetti Eddies is way better. 
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsOverrated: After reading all the reviews here discussing how great the pizza is at Petrillos, we decided to check it out. We moved out here from NE Jersey outside NYC just last year and have been searching for a decent pie in the area. Wow, this place was really overrated. I found the pizza to be very pedestrain. I've had at least 2-3 better pies just on the westside of L.A. To read all the reviews across the internet of this place, you'd think they had such incredible pizza. Not. The pie here is just mediocre IMO. Try someplace else.

Yo Duderino dude! Welcome to the land of the sun, whether you bask in it or you spray it on. I left NJ 54 years ago and am still seeking good Italian and Chinese. I have one place I keep returning to, you may be pleased. Casa Bianca in Eagle Rock, just west of Pasadena on Colorado Blvd. 323-256-9617 (webpage: casabiancapizza.com) It's the kind of place you expect the mob to frequent in the back room beyond the kitchen where Jeni the 80+ year old owner still hand makes ingredients. Most of the people having negitive reviews about Petrillo's Pizza are used to having Pizza Hut, Little Cesars, Domino's,etc. They really don't know what an authentic Italian pizza is supposed to taste like. I've been going to Petrillo's for 40 yrs. And it tastes as good as my Sicilian grandmothers home made pizza.

You are crazy, Ralph. Spaghetti Eddie's is not good at all. Petrillo's is filling and delicious! It's been our family favorite for 40 years (been going to San Gabriel before G-town).
