Skimpy? Dono is by far the best sized cuts I have ever had, I have eaten sushi for the last 10 years and eaten in alot of places.
The cuts are thicker and fresher, the beer is cold. Prices are good for the sizes.
We eat at the sushi bar mostly so service really isn't an issue.
But they are friendly and kind.
The food is really great. You get some edeme/peas to eat when you walk in. And the service is really good. The prices are $$ basically like if you go to those chain resteraunts that aren't fast food....like Mimi's Cafe price range. :)
Try the cold Nigiri sake, it is very good. :D Very milky.
They also have Hotplates. And Well portioned Combo plates. I reccommend ordering different plates when out with people and sharing. :) Also, the Chicken Yakisoba noodles ARE VERY GOOD I HIGHLY reccomend them.
They also have a TV in there on popular sports channels, and they have a sushi bar, and tables.
And there is a fish tank when you enter, no its not Pick yer sushi, no no no. :) Just for design. :)
And the Sushi Bar, has all these cute lucky cat, and Japanese culture little statues. So adorable. :)
It's also located in a cute little shopping center.
There is a StarBucks near the BarnesandNoble in the same center. :)
I don't know where "MOMO" has ate sushi before. But I found that Dono has the cheapest prices and good portions in town! She must love the dollar menus if she thought Dono was too expensive.
