This was my first time coming to this salon. And I just loved it!! Berta did an outstanding job on my hair! The whole environment was upbeat. Her coworkers were nice to me and they all made an effort to talk to me and to see if I needed anything. Talk about good teamwork! I love a Salon were you can go and just relax and not worry about any drama!
What I loved the most that I saw the Owner of the shop working and she Greeted all of the clients that came through the door!
I Give this place a 5 star in my book!
The Salon was very clean and comfortable. My point is im going back again!

Let me start off by saying that I used to frequent Halston salon quite regularly when I lived in Glendora. I just recently moved back to the area and I drove over to Halston to schedule a hair appointment. I pulled up and noticed that it was now called Side by Side, so I went in to inquire first what happened to Halston and then to schedule a hair appointment.
And this is where it goes downhill quickly. I walked into the salon and noticed how empty it was, there was one person working in the whole place. All the other stations were empty, and it felt like I had just walked into a ghost town. There was an older woman with long red hair sitting at the front desk and I had to wait until she was done texting before she even acknowledged me. I asked what happened to Halston and the previous staff, she was very short with me, to the point of rudeness.
Against my better judgement I asked if anyone had time to cut my hair, she told me to wait a few minutes and she would find out. In the meantime, I wandered to the back to use the restroom. The salon was so dirty and run down looking, there was dust and hair all over the floor. The bathroom was disgusting, with trash all over the floor, I didn't even use it. And as I made my way back up to the front already deciding to get the heck out of there, the older woman with long red hair, told me that she had time to cut my hair. She was so rude to me already that there was no way I was going to let her near me with a scissors. And the salon was an absolute mess, I didn't feel comfortable getting my hair done there, so I made up an excuse and left.
It's really sad because just a few years ago, Halston was THE place to get your hair done.
