please DO NOT go to this place, regardless of what other positive comments probably written by the owner's friends had to say. let me say that they did the sloppiest tinting job i have seen!!
1) they rushed the tinting procedure in LESS than an hour because they wanted to leave, so they left the tinted windows with finger smudges and water streaks all over. i couldn't even see through the windows and had to wipe them myself only to discover the scratches. let me tell you, a one hour tint job is never a good thing.
2) they sprayed glue and window cleaner to my windows, letting the fluids DRIP all over the inside of my car doors and outer edges, and they didn't even bother to wipe off.
3) the tints had NUMEROUS SCRATCHES on them when they used the spreader to take out air bubbles.
4) the tints were NOT CUT according to the exact sizes of the windows, so you will see the actual glass around the edges of the windows clearly.
5) the tint on my rear window PEELED OFF at the corners.
6) they left GREASY STAINS from their fingers all over the upholstery, especially the back seats. i had to clean all the stains myself when i got home.
7) the inner rubber that holds the windows tight was DAMAGED because they used the spreader and streaked it down the window so hard, it became loose. to make it worse, i told david, the owner that, and he told me "oh, that was already there. i was going to tell you before i tinted." i know for a fact it was never there because my car is brand new and hasn't even been touched.
i now have to go back next week and have him fix what he can. i seriously would never recommend anyone to go there, especially this hole-in-the-wall dump - you can't even find it because it's so small. sure, the price may be reasonable but it is definitely not worth all this hassle. save your money and go somewhere else for sure.
HORRIBLE customer service.
I first enter to find them NOT very busy...
but they tell me to come back anyways.
so i come back and they are still busy but after arguing i finally got it in.
Tint was horrible...
Awesome work, great price.: I called around various places in la/orange county and this place was by far the cheapest. i got my Scion tC tinted in less than an hour and the work was flawless.
Comments (1)
I just had to comment on this review. I usually don't even look at my reviews but this one caught my eye. Lets go through each comment. 1. I have never had a customer complain that the job was done too quickly. I, myself, can tint a car in 1 1/2 hours. Now if you have two tinters, then the car should be able to be tinted in 45 minutes. As for the streaks and smudges, their may have been but were here to tint your car not wash your car. We make sure the tint is done correctly so that when you do wash your car, its going to look really nice. 2. Window tinting does not involve any kind of sprayed glue. The glue is on the film itself. Again, as far as the fluid dripping on the panels, there is no way around it. Every tint shop tints the same way. The fluid is actually Johnson's baby shampoo and water. No harsh chemicals. We wipe down the panels after we tint the car. And finally, unlike most shops, we tint the car right in front of the customer. Just like at restaurants that prepare food right in front of you to show that it is prepared under sanitary conditions, we tint the car in clear view of the customer. 3. Sometimes tinters scratch the film and if its a shop with good customer service they will redo the windows for them. I have to say that we have one of the best customer service in the industry. 4. I just don't know where this comment is coming front. If you look at our cuts, it's some of the best cuts among all shops. Roll down a window that we have done and you'll see 1/16 of an inch gap at the top or smaller on framed windows. On frameless windows, we leave NO GAP at the top. 5. Very rarely does the window film peel back. And if it does, that why there is customer service to redo the windows. If any doubts the quality of our films, google Madico or Solar Gard. 6. This is the only comment that I may agree with. Sometimes we may forget to wipe down some parts of the car. But these are not permanent stains. They can be easily wiped down. 7. This last comment really enrages me because, I would not lie to a customer. If I told him that the rubber was jammed down when he came, then it was jammed down. Another reason why this cannot be true is because, unlike, most shops that jam the inside molding down to lay the bottom part of the film down, we, at Tint Zone, tuck the film under the molding without manipulating the molding whatsoever. Why do we do this? because we know the car can be damaged by doing this. Even though its more difficult to do it this way, we would rather do it this way to prevent damage and prevent having any disgruntled customers. Finally, if the customer had complaints, why didn't he relay those complaints to me. Why so much hate? We have been here for over 7 years now. Our business is growing even in this economic environment. We must be doing something right. And I thank all the customers that have patronized our shop and keep on sending us referrals. Thanks again.
