I'm not sure why so many people like this place?! I would say the service is good, but can't think of another reason to go back there. The food is very bland. The steak had very little flavor because it had no seasonings. The baked beans were horrible. Yes, you get a good amount of food, but the prices aren't that reasonable either. I could eat for the same price at Outback and eat at a much nicer place. The best part of this meal was eating the leftovers the next day at home, so I could properly season everything up myself!!
The best Salad Bar and the steaks are fantastic...............
I have been to Pinnacle Peak on 3 different occasions, the first time was with coworkers who raved about the food...
The second and third time with a friend.
As a chef and author, I must say that the atmosphere was fun and lively, and the service was excellent. But each time, I must say that I was thoroughly dissappointed in the food.
The salad was some thrown together lettuce with a spoonful of dressing. The beans looked and tasted as though they just opened a can of generic baked beans and tossed them in a bowl.
Now the steak was the true disaster (yes, I tried different menu items each time). I agree the size of the steak was a good portion, but the cut of beef provided was not the best. The 3 different steaks I tried all had large amounts of fat and gristle.
I understand the idea of a "Cowboy steak", but would prefer a better grade of beef.
My coworkers still enjoy going to Pinnacle Peak, but from now on, without me...
