Isabelle or Mr. Ken greet you and your packages from a tiny arched window in a tiny butter yellow lobby surrounded by small bronze and eagle encrusted mail boxes from our grandmother's youth. Bulbinia, jasmine and geraniums hang on, in the garden at the base of the flag, as huge trucks roar past on the 94. Painted, upgraded and revamped in 2007 by public artist Kelsy Hartley, the whole is now an artpiece - from the a hand painted map of the area, to a reflective vinyl envelope with bee stamp and 91917 cancellation mark; to the warm brown stonework, to her handmade glass tesseare and local artifact mosaic pavers of honeybees on the veranda. Dulzura means "sweetness" for the sweetness of the local honey. It's a collector's item - the Dulzura Post Office! C'mon by and give 'em your business. It survived the fire - and there's never (well almost never!) a line.
