User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsIn all fairness to Janet's, I have eaten there twice, and found the food there to be very good. My hobby is cooking so, I am fairly good at it. So, with that, I'll say that I was presented with the quality of both food and service that I expected, both were good. Like most restaurants in America, the quantity of food on the plate is just insane! I can see why we are the heft we are. I ordered an omelet, it had to be 3 of the biggest eggs I've ever seen! It was presented well, the plate was warm to hot, which I ALWAYS insist upon, and it was NOT overcooked to the point where it could be used as a "spare." All in all, I liked it, and would recommend Janet's without equivocation.

Food is ok, but prices are high!! Lunch menu prices are insane!!! You do get big portions, but still pricey!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe most tasty & fulfilling meals in Alpine. This is a true family restaurant, you can watch Janet herself taking care of her customers. The high quality food, & large portions makes you realize this is the real deal. Nothing better in Alpine or the east county, worth driving for. ( check out the desserts! )
