The high quality food, & large portions makes you realize this is the real deal. Nothing better in Alpine or the east county, worth driving for. ( check out the desserts! )

Most horrible place I have ever eaten at in my life. I dined here about a year ago. I had the meatloaf dinner plate. Absolutely horrendous. The meatloaf was very stale and the mashed potatoes were not very creamy and smooth. I went home and never have been sicker in my life. I don't know if the restaurant had hired illegal immigrant cooks or what the deal was, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if you want to stay away from the throw up can and the toilet.

I agree!!! Why the comment on immigrant cooks. Do us all a favor and don't go out to eat. Eat in your own immigrant kitchen and save your reviews for other idiots like yourself. You probably voted for Bush!!
You are so mistaken ! We love this restaurant . Go somewhere else if you don't like it .
Did you ever consider that maybe you were sick before you went to this restaurant? This place is great! I live over 20 miles away and I try to go there every chance I get.
While I agree with those reviews that praise Janet's, (the food is great), it is also true that most San Diego restaurant kitchens are staffed with illegals, it's a fact. Nayaritman you are an idiot! I guess everyone is intitled to your opinion, right? If this person had a bad experience at Janet's, why is not okay for him/her to voice it? You seem to be very eager to voice your opinions. A bad experience can be had at the best restaurants. You probably voted for Obama!!!
