My Tattoo

i had been searching for a couple of months for the perfect tattoo shop to do a cover up when i found milton. his art work on the web site absolutely blew me away! not only that, but i thought it was interesting that he was the only latino at the shop. so i made an appointment for 5:00 PM later that week. when the day came however, we didn't get started until almost 7:00 PM!!! was the shop busy, you might ask? not at all! in fact, he was ordering lunch, which took about 30-45 minutes. how difficult can it be to order a burger combo??!!

after that, in comes a walk-in and milton starts a consultation with him, taking him to the back of the shop to show him whatever is back there. meanwhile, my husband and i are sitting there, looking at each other like WTF?! i know i should have left, even if it meant losing my deposit. making me wait almost 2 hours shows lack of professionalism, respect and consideration for his customers. my tattoo didn't even turn out as amazing as i had hoped, which makes me wonder if the work he posted online and in his portfolio is truly his.

i strongly recommend you avoid going to this shop. or even if you do decide to make an appointment with him, don't show up until 2 hours later. see how he likes it.

This shop treats you like family.

I've been getting some work done by Jess (which I must stay is amazing), and I've gotten a chance to meet just about everyone in the shop. They truly treat you like family, everyone is super nice, and respectful.

The shop can get pretty busy...which I think is a good sign, as I've seen some great work come out of here.

Though I can only speak from experience with surface piercings, I'm confident when I say steer clear from My Tattoo. The piercers lie about their experience and have no idea what they're doing. Also, they claim other people's work as their own. I went to see a different piercer and he told me that the piercer was an obvious amateur and no matter how well taken care of the piercings were, they would never heal. Needless to say, I have terrible scars!
