| About: | An hour and a-half due east of downtown is the desert playground of Borrego Springs. This resort, a mainstay in the desert sun for decades, is the site for a quiet golf getaway or a romantic weekend. The 70-par, 6,600-yard, 18-hole championship golf course is only part of the package here. You will also find are six lighted tennis courts, two swimming pools, and a full spa. All guest rooms include wet bars, refrigerators and microwave ovens. Each room has its own terrace with a fantastic view. Children 13 and older are charged at the adult rate Valet service; all guests are provided complimentary signature skin care products made from pink grapefruit. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWe were refered to the Borrego Springs Resort by our neighbors that said it was a great place to stay, and it really was. We had the best nights sleep that we have ever had away from home. I don't know what kind of bedds or bedding that they had, but it was FANTASTIC. We will tell our other neighbors and will be back soon ourselves.
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsSlightly overpriced with average but, at times, acceptable food. The Arches' decor is retro -done-wrong but has potential and the place does have a nice view of the golf course and a pond. Lunch in the bar sometimes turns into a heavy drinking golfer's pit stop.
They are making changes by offering cheap tacos, margaritas and pasta nights that appear to be helping business but the real solution is a real chef.
