About:With colorful decor, talented mariachis and traditional Mexican specialties, Fidel's Norte is a fiesta for all the senses. Pueblo-style architecture welcomes you to a Southwestern ambiance. The indoors is covered with decorative tile, Southwestern paintings and pottery, while the outside patio offers umbrella-topped tables among cactus plants.     Well I loved the place, sitting outside almost reminds you of the old place in OLD TOWN. My food was great, beer was okay. Chairs are a little small and uncomfortable OUTSIDE, if your big or tall eat inside. The staff was hit an miss, but the food is really good.

    Great drinks-but the food is kind of Cal-Mex, which is GREAT if that's what you are looking for-but if you are looking for down home San Diego Mexican food, it's not the same.

    Try the La Playa Margarita-it's KILLER!

    NORTE DOES HAS A VERY RUDE STAFF. It has been an
    uncomforatble dining experience for me the last
    few times I've went there. I haven't felt
    welcomed there for the last few years in fact.
    I complained to the owner previously and he
    tried to pic a verbal fight with me! reading
    some of the reviews below tells me why, what
    a "DIRTBALL", trying to MAKE ADVANCES on your
    guests wife?! I'M NOT SURPIRSED!!! When a
    complete scoundral takes over running a place
    like "NORTE" all of the good people (staff) leave
    in a hurry. Recently they tried muscling me into
    buying a $3 soda when all I wanted was a water with
    my meal on a hot day. Then they were rude to me
    the entire time for the rest of my meal. I
    received Lots of hostility and cocky attitude like
    others have stated. I've gotta wonder how many
    meals they've spit in, for lord knows "what reason."
    These people do what they want and act how the want
    regardless. I've washed my hands of this place
    forever it's a "filthy pit" in my opinion.
    RUN AWAY, FAST, FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!
