I have nothing but great things to say about this dealership! They dramatically improved my opinion of Car Salesmen and turned around a HORRIBLE first time car buying experience that I had with another dealership just a few days before calling into Bob Baker. Rick over at the used car lot was AWESOME and won my son's heart by giving him a baloon (haha).
I returned to car to the service department to have a few things added per my warranty contract and was impressed by the professional and friendly staff they have in that department.
Definately a great place to be a customer at!!
Had to get my car in ASAP yesterday, called service and Gary put in on the books for a 2:30 appt. got there and was out before 5p, cost was a little high but needed new rotors brakes and pads, Gary was great as was Jorge back in Dec. Not sure how it is in the rest of this dealership, but the guys in service are so nice and helpful and treat you right. I had had a bad ewxperience with this dealership about 5 years ago, but now with personnel changes I will go back without hesitation, plus I got a free car wash, life is GOOD!
Here are some of the main reasons that I would not recommend this business even though many claimed to me that this was a great place.
Noticing the salesman seating at the same table staring out the glass doors like vultures & then hearing them gossip.
The salesman did not know as much as he claimed on the vehicle and in fact emphasized twice over to me that I would be trading under in opposed to the vehicle I currently own.
The next sales/financial person made mention of trading under as well as stating that with my great credit rating & that I was an upstanding citizen I should get the car I want blah blah & to finally get extremely pushy with me when I said I was not interested in a lease over and again.
On conclusion I thanked them for their time & requested the keys to my car back which thinking in hind sight one should not give up their keys to these folks. The people at El Cajon Toyota were more professional in that manner. After I demanded to have my keys back they took their sweet time as they were still yet determined to sell me the 2009 Yaris S Sedan. I had to walk up to the door where the sales/financial guy took off with my keys just to get them back. And when I started to leave the parking lot they ran up to my car & insisted on here is the best deal they could cut me.
Which was an action I could only describe as pathetic.
I write this today after they called me at my office to see if I was coming back to purchase their 2009 Yaris Sedan S which was so less then my 2006 Corolla S.
With professionalism like this I can understand if they have their hands out next for a bail out.
