Horrible service department!! Tipton Honda of El Cajon have lost me as a customer for life! I bought my 2007 honda accord with them and have been taking it in for services for 3 years now. I have never trusted their services but I always give every business he benefit of the doubt. My previous experiences with them have been negative. On 2 occasions I noticed that during scheduled maintenace inspections they did not rotate my tires. There was another lady in the waiting room who also complained about the mechanic not rotating her tires. My most recent experience and last was when I took my car in for a minor scheduled maintenance which is priced at $115, by the end of my inspection they came up with a $1000 estimate explaining to me how my car needed a brake fluid flush, power steering flush, air conditioner cleaning and gas tank cleaning plus brakes! Little did the mechanic know that less than 2 months ago I had alread had a power steering fluid flush!!! The mechanic didnt even bother checking the fluid!! I now wonder what else he didnt check???did i really need that brake fluid flush also? how frustrating, I feel taken advantage of, when i called the service dep they tried to make excuses for their mechanic saying that they recommend it by mileage, Oh so no need to inspect the fluids, then why go to a mechanic for inspections? I will NEVER go to them again ever..they lost me as a customer and I will continue to tell all my friends and relatives not to go to them.
Not a dealer to trust. They load up the car with "Extras" to gouge you for more money. I negotiated long and hard and they came up with a price. I found a better deal at another dealer but they didn't have the color I wanted. I called Tipton and they said they'd match the deal but when I went in to close the deal they ran my credit without asking me and then added $500 for an alarm I didn't want. When I asked them to come through as promised they welched on the deal and wouldn't sell the car unless I bought the alarm.
Needless to say they didn't get my business.
They are prime candidates for time share salesmanship.

I just want to take this time to inform you of the
quick, professional and excellent customer service I received when brought my Honda Accord in on a recall
issue. When I called I talked to Rick, I explained
what the problem was he told me to bring the car in
right away which I did they fixed the problem and I had my car back in a couple of hours at no charge. The ladies in the cashiers office were very kind also. Thank you very much and all my service and next purchase on my next Honda will now will be with
