Bistro 221 has the BEST sauces and wines!
We enjoy the crab cakes and anything with a cajun flair!
The wines at 221 are much better than those around the corner at the wine hot spot!
Bistro 221 has the best gumbo I have ever eaten! It was spicy and delicious. The chef's signature "Bistro 221 Salad" was fresh and included mango, candied walnuts and feta cheese, topped with a sweet raspberry vinagrette. The quesadillas are also great, not to mention the chicken pesto sandwich. Definitely worth the visit!
My husband and I had dinner at Bistro 221. It was an okay experience. The service needs some polish. The food was good, but not outstanding - other dishes may be better (the Bistro salad sounded good). We did enjoy the light jazz entertainment though. We will probably try other nearby restaurants on Grand Ave. before we return to Bistro 221.
