User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThorntons has a new menu, new management FINALLY and seems to be as good as it ever was. Would give this place another shot. Whoever is in the kitchen has some skills. The mushroom soup I had last week was yummy. Great specials - their 2 for 1 fish and chips got me and and I was not disappointed.

the food is ok but the service has gone nothing but down since they took over from goodys. the new owner or manger tom is a pompous prick, i actually called today to order one of there $5 lunch they said i had to eat it in couldn't take it to go. Nowhere on there sign or website does it say dine in only and i don't feel like dealing with there slow and rude service.

My husband and I went here tonight, which was around 5:30 pm on a Saturday night, all because of a wonderful review they received in a local paper. We both ordered the Fish and Chips meal and the waitress said they had run out of fish. You would think that a restaurant that touts "Fish and Chips" on their sign would have plenty for their customers. As a second choice, my husband ordered a steak meal and I ordered the "Paddy" Melt sandwich. The food arrived over 30 minutes after our order was placed and the waitress forgot to bring the rolls with the steak meal. The food was decent for the price, but I was again disappointed when I ordered dessert. The review that took us to this place mentioned that the bread pudding was awesome, so I was excited to have one of my favorites. When I placed the order, I was informed that they didn't have any bread pudding. The elderly couple sitting next to us mentioned that they had been there previously, but was disappointed with their meal, but wanted to give the place another chance. The "buy one, get one free steak meal" coupon had brought them for a seccond review. My husband and I will not be giving them a second chance.
