Beautifully decorated.
Was seated in the middle room.
Loud cause there were three birthdays on that day.
Should had seated us in a isolated area.
Service was kind.
Ironically, the only Asian person I saw was the Sushi Chef.
Sales tax was .0914454277
The Tip (printed and included) was .1779 = 17% of the paycheck
Since I went for Prom with 4 other couples, the waiter was kind enough to split the check by couple.
Tapas are appateziers but if you order a side dish it could be a meal/entree.
The side dishes are very big.
The "Hot Rock" is where you put slices of thing beef on to a hot rock that has been baked in a 500 degree oven.
Quite tasty and entertaining. My date and I had a nice deal cause the total cost was only under 45 dollars and the dishes were flavorful and beautifully decorated for 4 dishes.
But I suguest that if you're going here, buy sushi cause it's more worth the bucks. The portions quite large ( 8 -9 pieces).
It Didn't Totally Suck
Outside glitz and glam. Inside ugh and blah. Boring sushi selections. Pretention without quality. Unique tapas offerings save the restaurant from complete irrelevance. Didn't mind trying it but won't go back again. give it poor rating b/c of cost to dine there. when u pay more u expect more.
THE best place in SD: This is probably THE best restaurant in San Diego! Great, fresh food, excellent service, gorgeous atmosphere. I spend every special occasion dinner here because I'm treated like royalty and the food is too die for! I recommend EVERYONE eat here at least once. A little pricey, but SO worth it!
