Very nice place. Staff really knows a lot about clothes. The lady there helped me with fitting my suit, recommended some shirt and tie options (I need all the fashion tips I can get). Even taught me how to figure out which shirts of mine I should launder vs dry clean. This place is going to be a weekly stop.

I had to go to Pleats for my dress alteration even though the bridal store people were trying to scare me into doing alterations through them. No one would be touching my dress except for Pleats. Pat, the head seamstress there, miraculously made my freinds 6 layered toole gown bigger for her by adding one of those tying lace backs to her dress and it actually looked better than the original design.
My dilemma: dress too big, not mermaiding in the right places, wedding in 2 weeks. This was a challenge I knew Pat could do. After only two fittings, what do you know, a perfect fit. Size 6 to a size 2, hugging in all the right places. What a great experience, watching my dress become MY dress. I would have paid double what they charged me. I don't even think it was really challenging for Pat. Those pretentious bridal places charge so much because it takes them 3 inexperienced seamstresses and 60 hours to do something Pat can do in an hour.
I learned a lot about tailoring from Pleats, that it's not just a skill, but also an art. It takes a creative mind to take some elses cookie cutter creation and customize it to fit our different shapes and sizes. I also learned that Pat is awesome. My reccomendation: if you have a dress and want it to look good on you, take it to these professionals. Even if you have a dress that you think looks good on you, take it to Pleats. I was having a fitting done there and this girl tried on a dress that fit her perfectly, she just wanted an opinion. The entire staff said it looked great on her and nothing needed to be done to it. Talk about an honest business.

i just moved into the neighborhood and was very impressed by this place. it's very hard to find a good tailor and here there are 3 of them. they did a "fine" job on all my clothes and i was very impressed. not only was the work outstanding but the whole process was so easy. they are very professional, organized and provide excellent customer service. they have my complete loyalty and my dry cleaning.
