After much disappointment with other "stylists" in the nearby North County area, I decided to try Kiwi Salon. My first experience was outstanding! I am a satisfied and happy customer!

My stylist is Emily -- a very grounded hair artist -- and working with Emily was a refreshing experience. I have fine hair, and not many stylists truly know how to deal with fine hair. Emily actually got it! She listens to the client, examines the client's hair carefully, offers suggestions, thoroughly explains hair style options and goals. Emily uses little product (yea! no more helmet head and stiff crackly hair), and of the few she uses, she explains the benefits. Emily makes the effort to steer the client in the best direction possible and away from products that are not well suited for the client's unique hair care needs.

While sitting in the chair, I noted all Kiwi staff are very professional (no immature behavior noted at this place) and warmly welcome each client, making them feel right at home -- whether first time visitor or long-standing client.

I strongly recommend Kiwi Salon to anyone in the San Marcos CA area (and if you have fine hair, give Emily a try). Kiwi is on S Twin Oaks Valley Road, near Ralph's, and across from CSUSM.

I just got my hair washed, cut, styled and dried for $40 by a stylist named Emily. She was sweet and cut my hair exactly the perfect way. She gave me hints on how to do certain things and did not do anything I didn't ask her to do.. I was/am very satisfied with my experience there and I will be going back in a couple of months, maybe sooner to check out their nail services :)

I tried Kiwi Salon 2 days ago and I absolutely love it! Tiffany did a great job on my hair. Better than anyone has. Very friendly and excellent work. I would def recommend Kiwi to anyone. I will be going back.
