Silk Road Ensemble and my experience: Hi,
Thank you so much for the Yo-Yo Ma and Silk Road Ensemble last night at the Civic Theatre.
However I feel very critical of the behavoirs of the ushers! And the audience!
It was announced ten minutes before the concert began that the concert would begin on time. And I'm hopeful most ticket holders noticed the time on their tickests.
To my astonishment at 7:30 when Yo-Yo Ma and the other artists were on stage they were made to wait by your ushers so seating could continue.
This went on for minutes. Even after the music began ushers were seating.
Ushers also entered rows disrupting the music to take cameras. Ultimately during the encore people left slamming the side doors. Never in my life in any concert or venue have I seen such rude behavior.
Are there no stanards fpr ushers? Like not seating while the perfomrance is going on or blocking exits during the performance.
I was disappointed and humiliated by San Diego's absolute lack of courtesy for the artists and even the audience was an embarrassment back water.
Please try to educate yourselfs and become aware of appropriate behaviors!
Shame on you!
