User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI went to the Belly Up Tavern for the first time a few weeks back to see Los Straightjackets. I must say that I was impressed! Plenty o' parking, affordable drinks, and nice people...plus, the sound was terrific!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsBest place in San Diego to see a show. Great bands come thru this small venue. You are able to walk right up to the stage. Get there a little early and you can get a seat. If they are sold out, I've always been able to find a ticket out front from someone who has extras to sell. Strong drinks. Say hi to Claudia and Andy, my favorite bartenders. Do not drive drunk out of there, cops park right in front at the end of a show.

hands down the best sound out of all the others in San Diego. if you have only a weekend to check out a concert, go to the Belly Up!
